Welcome to SHIZDESIGNS airbrushing and customised painting.
My name is Oliver "SHIZ" Roubieu and I created SHIZ 3 years ago.
In 1997, I finished my art degree in France where i grew up, then I spent a year in Paris.
When I turned 18, I came to London, doing a thousand jobs then going home to practice drawing.
On occasions, I would go to the museum for hours to get better at it, having as a goal to being able to draw anything that popped into my mind.
In 2006 I designed a clothe line (by that i mean 10 designs ) which I was selling in Portobello market for under a year.
I soon realised that people were more interested in getting their trainers or T-shirts customised, than buying my t-shirts/ hoodys. So I started focussing only on the custom market as opposed to the "mass production".
When I painted my first bedroom wall it was like opening pandora's box, I liked getting "my hands dirty" so much, that I thought working behind a computer drawing T's wasn't for me.
In 2007 I was ready, after a few attempts, to customise my own car, and now i'm taking commissions from walls to clothes, vehicules, bikes,...
I also work with spray cans which are grreat when it comes to painting on a big scale, as I save a lot of time on the background colours or indeed if I'm asked to paint a graffiti. An other good thing about using spray cans, is that there isn't a size barriere as I can paint a 5 meter, 25 meter, 50 meter long wall, no problem (a bit longer for a 50 meter wall, though) because of the cans I use which give me a perfect coverage and good variety of colours.
